I'd planned on leaving Osaka for Kyoto today, but I hadn't taken the fact that I was going to be out all night into account, so at around 7 a.m. I found myself on a train with Andrew. We decided that it would be fun to go out to a castle but couldn't be bothered to figure out which direction it was to get there, so we just got on and off trains, chatting and having half conversations with Japanese passengers, for over five hours. Eventually that got boring, and we were hungry so we got some food, wandered around a bit, and then went back to our respective hostels.
That was pretty much my entire day.
